Chloe is an amazing person. She could have cut and run back in Nepal and she didn’t, she stayed to help Nate and me fight. Despite having every reason to hate me she was there when I need her most. Without her I honestly wouldn’t be here right now. I am grateful every day for that. In spite of our differences we’ve come to an understanding. Today we are actually pretty close.

I went with a retro style logo for the shape of the design and I knew I had to have a map in the design cause of the globetrotting you do in the game. And the colors are a darker orange and sand to go with the retro theme all together it came together nicely and I hope you all enjoy.”

So we all know Nate links himself Sir Francis on the Drake side of the Uncharted 3 line. Drake was a knight and a privateer in the service of Her Majesty. But Drake wasn’t the only name that seems to crop up both historically and in game. It seems Kate, good ol’ Scary Poppins herself, might also have a link to the Elizabethan Era. Christopher Marlowe, a writer famous for his dramatic works and blank verse, he ranks right up next to Shakespeare as a Elizabethan playwright and probably would have surpassed him if not for his early death. Little is known about Marlowe since very few records exist of him. But it is known that Marlowe was a spy which might have contributed to why he was mysteriously stabbed to death in a bar thus ending his promising career as a writer.
It would seem Marlowe, like Drake, also died without an heir but get this, Marlowe’s mother was named Catherine. The myth surrounding Marlowe also portrays him as a brawler, duelist, and magician.
Whether Naughty Dog intended this when crafting Katherine Marlowe is unclear but what I do know is that Drake was a pirate and Marlowe was a spy. The parallels are uncanny. As far as character crafting goes I’m sure Naughty Dog knew exactly what they were doing. Those sly dogs.
